Bank Statement to Excel

A workbook you can reconcile, not a screenshot of a table.

Ready.

Your PDF is processed in memory and discarded after the response. We do not store statements.

What lands in the workbook

One row per transaction: Date, Description, Debit, Credit, Amount and Balance. The columns are plain values, so you can sort, filter, add your own category column and use SUMIFS without cleaning merged cells.

Review first, then reconcile

The preview shows every parsed row before you download. Check the opening and closing balance, scan for duplicate rows, and compare the count with the statement's page footers. If a row is wrong, correct the source or fix it in Excel — the export is not the place to discover a missing transaction.

Statements that are scans

Stmt2Sheet reads text-based PDFs. Image-only scans are not supported; download the original PDF from your bank's website or app instead.

Working with the workbook

Keep the original PDF beside the workbook for audit. Add a category column, a reconciliation checkbox, and a formula for the running balance if you need to prove the totals. The export is a starting point, not a substitute for reviewing the statement.

Questions

Does the Excel file keep the bank's formatting?

No. It keeps the transaction rows and columns, which is what imports and reconciliation need. The visual layout of the PDF is not reproduced.

Can I open the XLSX in Google Sheets?

Yes. XLSX files open in Google Sheets and most spreadsheet apps.

What if the PDF is a scanned image?

Scans are not supported. Download the text-based PDF from your bank instead.

Can I edit the rows after download?

Yes. The workbook is unlocked; add categories, notes or formulas.
